Pulse
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Monkeybird ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Pulse mobile application ("Pulse" or "the App"). By using Pulse, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Data we collect
Pulse collects only the data needed to provide its features. The categories of data are described below.
3. Email address
We collect your email address when you sign in or create an account (authentication). Purpose: to identify you and allow you to recover and access your account.
4. Learning progress
We collect data about your progress in the App (for example completed exercises, levels, scores, and related advancement information). Purpose: to save your progress, restore it across sessions or devices linked to your account, and let you track your improvement.
5. Device identification
We use a device identifier (such as a push notification token) associated with your phone. Purpose: to send you notifications when other users interact with your recordings (for example comments or feedback on improvisations you shared).
6. Audio recordings
We collect audio recordings only when you choose to create and share them. Purpose: to let you share your improvisations with other users and receive advice and feedback from the community. Recordings are not collected without your explicit action to share them.
7. Sharing of data
We do not sell your personal data. Shared content (such as recordings you choose to publish) may be visible to other Pulse users so they can listen and provide feedback. We may use service providers (for example hosting, authentication, or notification services) that process data on our behalf, strictly to operate the App. These providers are required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
8. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide Pulse. If you delete your account or request deletion of specific data, we will delete or anonymize the related information within a reasonable time, unless a legal obligation requires us to retain it longer.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including the GDPR where it applies), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@monkeybird.xyz.
10. Children
Pulse is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page with its update date. Continued use of Pulse after changes means you accept the updated policy.
